the right selection

Which admission consultation service should you choose?

Maxx Associates offers three services: Initial Consulting, Editing, and Interview Consulting. Which service should you use? The answer depends on a number of factors:

  • How far along in the applications process you are
  • Your understanding of the process from an admissions point of view
  • How close your deadline date is
  • Your budget
Generally speaking, the closer you are to the start of the application process, the more likely you are to benefit from an Initial Consultation. This consultation helps you define your application marketing strategy, while giving you insight into the selection criteria. If you're not 100% certain that you already have your strategy, this is probably where you'll want to start.

If you already feel grounded in the application process, or if you're on a tight deadline, you may want to go directly to Editing. This service involves a direct examination of your application draft and provides a comprehensive set of notes with which you can organize a rewrite.

It's never too soon to start preparing for your key interviews. Our Interview Consulting service teaches you the inner game of interviewing and gives you an opportunity to hone this vital skill before you put it into practice.

A Note on Time Management
No matter which of our services you use, we strongly encourage you to start the process now! A graduate school application is not to be rushed; it benefits from "maturation time." The more of this valuable time you can give it, the better off you'll be. The sooner you get a draft on its feet, the more fully its quality will emerge.
