how it works; what it costs

All clients provide the following information:

  • All academic transcripts
  • Graduate test scores (if available)
  • Most recent resume
  • Previously submitted applications (if any)


Clients for initial consultation also provide:

  • A one-paragraph statement of professional goals or career vision
  • A list of graduate programs under consideration

When we receive these materials, we will contact you to schedule an appointment. Appointments are available days, evenings and weekends, by telephone, video conference or in person as appropriate. We recommend scheduling appointments as far in advance as possible, as many Maxx Associates clients face similar deadlines. Twenty-four hours’ notice is appreciated if an appointment is to be canceled or changed.


Clients for editing services provide:

  • Biographical sections of the online application(s)
  • Drafts of all essays

Your edited materials, along with notes for your next draft, will be forwarded to you by email. Editing turnaround time is usually within two days.


Clients for interview consulting provide:

  • A list of scheduled interviews
  • A copy of the submitted application


Clients for waitlist strategy or ding analysis provide additional information as required.



The fee for all services is US $400/hour.*
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and PayPal accepted.

Maxx Associates does not offer packages. All services are billed straight-time, in quarter-hour segments.

*Please note that fees will increase to US $500/hour on July 1, 2019. Clients who engage with Maxx Associates before this date will maintain the $400/hour rate for the duration.
